I was right

This is something I got a an HD message board. I hwas right. People, just wanted something so bad, they were overlooking side effects. They alo said it was used in other countries, it never was. Is this worth alot of lives?

Something very horrible is happening to some of those with HD who anxiouslystarted Xenazine and we're not talking about it, nor being thoroughly warnedabout its horrible side-effects. I have had a few friends who started Xenazine and swear that it is thegreatest. I sat at the last support group meeting here in Phoenix a coupleof Saturday's ago and closely watched those taking it. I did notice areduction in chorea but they looked like Zombies who had lost the use oftheir minds. They were no longer communicative and just sat there in a"drugged" state almost like they had just received a chemical lobotomy(maybe that's exactly what's happened because this is just one of theplethora of Xenazine's terrible side effects, and some irreversible likeTD). HOWEVER, I continue to hear reports from more friends and families who havelowered its dosage or had to discontinue because of dissatisfaction with itand then sadly found that their loved ones "never came back" as they put it.Their old personality, physical ability to do things, memory, thinking, etc.etc. never returned to pre-Xenazine levels or was tremendously diminished. What are we doing people? Why isn't someone shouting about this from the rooftops? Does anyone remember Dr. Kathleen Shannon's quote in material sent around onHunt-Dis where she states that those with HD don't even know or recognizethat they have chorea? Then why give it to them? Sounds like it was solelyto get the recognition for being the one in charge when the FIRST medicationfor HD was approved. Is the thinking, "They're all dying anyway so whyworry about what kind of Quality of Life they have in the meantime"
and click on and thoroughly read"Prescribing Information including Boxed Warning," "Medication Guide," and"Important Safety Information" and be prepared to be sickened and scared todeath. I would not give Xenazine to my worst enemy based on everythingthat's now available to read on its side-effects and what I've seenfirst-hand and continue to hear.
